Alur Cerita dan Latar Belakang
Game ini mengambil pemain dalam petualangan epik yang memadukan masa kini dengan masa lalu. Anda mengendalikan Desmond Miles, seorang pria abad 21 yang diculik oleh organisasi rahasia bernama Abstergo Industries. Abstergo menggunakan mesin bernama "Animus" yang memungkinkan pengguna merasakan kenangan leluhur mereka yang disimpan dalam DNA mereka.
Desmond mengetahui bahwa ia adalah keturunan seorang Assassin, kelompok rahasia yang bertempur untuk kebebasan melawan Templar, kelompok lain yang berusaha mengendalikan dunia.
