ABOUT THIS GAME

Dying Light is a survival horror-style open world action game. The game is developed by Polish studio Techland. Its a hybrid of Dead Island made by the same team and Mirrors Edge made by the makers of the Battlefield series. The games action is viewed from a first-person perspective.

We play as Kyle Crane in Haran a typical poor neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. The population of Metropolis is infected with a mysterious virus that instantly turns everyone into zombies. The creators of the game used the same theme here as in the movie I Am Legend with Will Smith. Zombies are not very active during the day but their most dangerous variants are active at night. As a result the game is divided into two parts. During the day we freely explore our environment for resources and weapons and at night we defend ourselves against invading hordes.

In Dying Light we fight mutants mainly using melee attacks and spears and often guns. The title offers a variety of weapons from axes and swords to spear hammers and clubs. The detailed weapon making system also attracted attention with the ability to attach seemingly useless items to the selected weapon to provide damage bonuses. As you progress through the story mode you gradually gain experience and have a variety of character development options to customize your abilities to suit your play style.
