ABOUT THIS GAME
Dying Light 2 is a first-person open world action game where you travel through a zombie-infested city. This title is a sequel to the 2015 hit game Dying Light. It features both story-driven single-player and multiplayer modes. It was developed by Techland a Polish studio known for its Dead Island or Wild West series of shooters.
Dying Light 2 is set in 2034 20 years after the end of the previous film. The game continues the story presented in the first part of the series but does not require knowledge of the plot of the sequel. After the zombie outbreak was contained in the Netherlands government and corporate scientists began studying the strain of rabies responsible for the disaster. They have commercial and military uses for profit. But the search for money could spell disaster when the virus escapes the Geneva lab in late 2021. This highly contagious disease causes global pandemic chaos and the collapse of civilizations. Within two years almost the entire population on Earth was infected. There are only a few colonies left in the world and one city Veldor where the game is set.
The main character in Dying Light 2 is Aiden Caldwell who replaces the popular Kyle Crane from the previous game. Eden is a traveler who walks through a post-apocalyptic wasteland in search of someone he loves. His journey takes him to Philidor where he becomes embroiled in a struggle for influence between factions seeking to control the city. Unlike its predecessors the story of Dying Light 2 is non-linear. Aiden can make decisions to support certain factions make alliances with different people and make enemies according to his choices.
