ABOUT THIS GAME
The game is an adventure video game played in a third-person role-playing game in an open-world setting. As players take protagonist Kazuma Kiryu through the streets of Tokyo. In the game story players can encounter enemies that they have to fight on their journey. There are also ones where Kiryu gets rewards for completing his missions.
Like its predecessor Yakuza 0 the game features four fighting styles that each player can perform during battle. Kiryus traditional dragon style consists of a weak but fast style a slow and heavy beast style and a balanced fighting style. Experience points are earned to expand the crews health bar and upgrade other new techniques. The player also earns money which he can use to buy healing items and supplies or play mini-games such as gambling and messing around in karaoke. When the player completes the objectives they will be awarded a special completion point currency that will allow them to obtain rewards such as character upgrades and special items.
Yakuza Kiwami introduces the new Majima Everywhere game system pitting Goro Majima against Kiryuu. Majima will appear randomly during each exploration and challenge the player as they progress. He appears when fighting Kiryu while playing a minigame. Kiryu gains new abilities in Ryus style if the player defeats Majima.
