ABOUT THIS GAME

It is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective in an open world environment. The game takes place in Tokyo and Osaka and players control recurring character Goro Majima and protagonist Kazuma Kiryu. They both alternate between predetermined points given in the story.

How the Game is Played?

Players can freely walk around Sotenbori and Kamurocho to interact with people who trigger quests in the party. They also fight enemies that attack along the way. They must complete objectives such as eating every dish available in a restaurant or completing an objective in a mini-game. This player will have a special completion point currency that they can spend at temples to get bonuses like character upgrades and special items.

In the game the player uses the money earned from fighting through Majima and Kiryus side businesses. Money is awarded by Yakuza 0 for every hard hit that causes the enemy to drop money. Players can lose their money when facing a special enemy known as Mr. Shakedown. These big guys are stronger than player strength. When a player loses they lose all their money but if they win against an enemy they get their money back and win extra money.
